OpenText – Ringing of the Bell

Objective

Encore Canada partnered with Centre Stage to produce a live studio production for the Ringing of the Bell for the NASDAQ Stock Exchange for the first time in Canadian history.

The event took place at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, ON with a live audience of over 135 attendees in the main room. In addition, the event was live streamed to  an overflow area where additional viewers could watch the event. 













Solution

  • Main event room with 2 x video walls, 4 x downstage monitors with news feeds, 2 x moveable tripod cameras, 1 x 20ft jib camera and a high-end audio package

  • Overview flow room with video and audio feeds from the main room for additional viewers

  • 2 x outbound satellite channels to broadcast the event to Time Square and TV stations including Bloomberg, CNBC and Fox Business.

  • 2 x inbound satellite channels with direct feeds from NASDAQ at Times Square

  • Custom lighting package to allow for lights to effortlessly compensate for sunlight movement/changes

  • Production team including Lighting Director, Production Manager, 3 x camera operators and video engineer

Outcome
