IPAC Annual Conference 2023
Objective
From September 13th to 15th, the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) partnered with Encore for their 2023 Annual Conference in Ottawa. The event, themed “Public Administrations Amid Social Upheaval”, brought together over 550 Canadian leaders in-person and 650 virtually to hear from Canadian and global experts on how to tackle the most pressing public sector issues.
IPAC’s goal was to create an experience where attendees could ebb and flow through the event space, allowing them to enjoy the program or attend important meetings as needed.

Solution
- Utilized AI Interpretation for captions and accessibility purposes in both English and French
- MediaLab top and tail edits for post-event on-demand recordings
- A dedicated “Headshot Salon” allowed attendees to take a new, professional headshot directly on-site
- Multiple awards presented over multiple sessions across the event, as opposed to dedicating a larger, less-attended time block for a traditional Awards Ceremony format
- Use of royalty-free music library for breaks and presenter walk-ups, and voice-of-god library for general announcements
Outcome
