David Campbell
David Campbell, Managing Director of International Operations with oversight for Canada and Mexico, brings over 30 years of accomplished leadership experience in the hospitality and environmental services industries to his role at Encore. A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management and a CMA in Accounting, David’s career has been distinguished by his diverse expertise and results-driven approach.
David began his career in Canada, quickly ascending to senior leadership roles, including Vice President and General Manager of a leading Canadian audiovisual firm. His ambition, strategic insight, and passion for hospitality led him to pursue impactful roles across Europe and the United States, broadening his perspective and enhancing his leadership capabilities.
Since joining Encore in 2015, David has redefined the company's strategy and operational priorities, driving growth and excellence in both the Canadian and Mexican markets. Known for his candid and empowering leadership style, he fosters a culture that prioritizes innovation, collaboration, and exceptional client experiences.
Beyond his professional achievements, David is a dedicated advocate for industry advancement. He serves on the Boards of Meetings Mean Business Canada and is a Founding Member of the Canadian Esports Trade Association. Additionally, his active membership in the Professional Convention Management Association reflects his commitment to staying at the forefront of industry innovation and best practices.
David’s unique blend of experience, strategic vision, and authentic leadership continues to propel Encore’s success, ensuring sustainable growth and value for all stakeholders.
Nozer Bhathena
As Vice President of Field Sales at Encore Canada, Nozer Bhathena oversees on-site venue sales, driving profitability and ensuring operational excellence. He leads a diverse workforce, instilling core values and success principles to exceed expectations.
With over 25 years of experience in marketing, management, and sales within the hospitality and audio-visual industry. Nozer has a proven track record of fostering client relationships and delivering tailored solutions. His hands-on leadership style and commitment to team development have been instrumental in achieving organizational goals.
Nozer holds a diploma in Marketing and Management from Mount Royal University.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Nozer is passionate about mentoring emerging talent and contributing to the growth of the audiovisual industry in Canada.
Krista Cameron DES
Krista has been in the M&C Industry for 27 years and excitedly joined the Encore Canada team in February 2019. Her previous experience includes teaching in South Korea, as Station Chairman for the American Red Cross in Germany, Event Manager for the U.S. Air Force in Europe, and Corporate Events Manager for a Fortune 100 company in California. When Krista returned to Canada, she joined Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Group Sales and then was the Director of Sales with Destination St. John’s (DMO).
Krista focuses on business development, client connections and industry association partnerships. Some of her current industry involvement includes Past President of the PCMA Canada East Chapter, Chair of CanSPEP’s Business Associates Advisory Council, Board member of the AMC Institute of Canada and Committee member of the CMEE Hall of Fame. In 2015, Krista was inducted into M&IT’s Hall of Fame as Industry Mentor.
Madeleine Bart
Madeleine Bart is a customer-focused, data-driven, and creative problem solver with extensive experience in the events industry. Starting her career as a meeting planner, she gained a deep understanding of client needs and objectives, which now inform her strategic marketing and communication plans, innovative go-to-market strategies, and leadership of high-performing teams.
Since joining Encore in 2016, Madeleine has risen to her current role as Vice President of Creative and Marketing for Canada. In this capacity, she oversees the development and execution of impactful marketing initiatives, delivers strategic solutions that drive revenue growth, and leads large-scale projects to create memorable and engaging experiences for event attendees.
Passionate about helping others succeed, Madeleine thrives on delivering extraordinary experiences that resonate with audiences and inspire her team to achieve excellence.
Travis Cornell
Travis Cornell joined Encore Canada in 2024, overseeing the company’s financial operations, business insights, and strategic planning.
With over 16 years of experience in accounting, analytics, finance, and strategy roles within multinational technology and service organizations, Travis brings deep expertise and a results-driven approach to Encore. Prior to joining, he led Business Insights for Shopify Logistics, where he drove operational excellence across multiple business functions. He also held key finance roles focused on corporate reporting, forecasting, and business strategy development and execution.
A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), Travis earned his commerce degree from Carleton University.
Outside of work, Travis enjoys golfing and spending quality time with his family.
Simona Gamero
Simona Gamero joined Encore Canada in October 2023 as Vice President of Human Resources, leading HR initiatives and collaborating with Canadian leaders to drive organizational excellence.
With over 25 years of global HR experience, Simona has a proven track record of aligning HR strategies with business goals. Her expertise includes fostering organizational culture, advancing talent development, promoting diversity, building strong partnerships, and implementing systems automation.
Simona holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Metropolitan Toronto University and an MBA from Athabasca University. She is also a certified Chartered Human Resources Executive (CHRE) and a Certified Mediator (c. Med).
Tom Borsa
With over 25 years of experience in the events and hospitality industry, Tom Borsa brings a wealth of expertise to his role at Encore. Beginning his career as a Technical Service Representative in 1998, he gained a global perspective on delivering value to clients across events of all sizes and budgets.
Tom’s tenure at Encore includes roles as Operations Manager in Edmonton and Account Executive in Winnipeg, giving him deep insights into every facet of the business. This experience has solidified his reputation as one of Encore’s most knowledgeable and trusted team members in Canada.
As Regional Director of Sales, Tom leads his team in Western Canada with a commitment to world-class service, exceeding client expectations, and creating memorable event experiences. His passion for innovation and deep industry knowledge inspire his team to craft engaging and impactful events that resonate with attendees.
Serge Kijner
Serge Kijner joined Encore Canada in 2016, bringing with him over 18 years of leadership experience and a passion for delivering exceptional results in the events services industry. As an experienced General Manager with a strong operational background, Serge has built a career specializing in customer service, stage lighting, production management, live events, and the hospitality industry.
A graduate of Ryerson University, Serge is known for his innovative approach to event technology and his ability to tailor solutions that meet the unique needs of each client. His dedication to fostering collaboration and creating memorable experiences has solidified his reputation as a trusted leader.
In his role at Encore Canada, Serge serves as the face of the organization, working closely with teams and clients to elevate events through cutting-edge solutions. His expertise and vision continue to shape Encore’s impact, ensuring every event exceeds expectations.
Bernard Carignan, M.B.A.
Bernard Carignan, Vice President of Encore Canada’s Eastern Region, brings extensive experience as a bilingual senior executive with expertise in managing medium- and large-scale operations across various industries. He focuses on strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, including executives at convention centers, venues, and large audiovisual accounts, while driving client satisfaction and business growth.
Known for achieving operational and financial objectives, Bernard excels in identifying improvement opportunities, fostering partnerships, and implementing strategies that deliver measurable results. He is highly skilled in mobilizing and developing management teams, ensuring leadership growth and succession planning to support long-term success.
With a strong foundation in professional ethics, customer service, and financial management, Bernard’s leadership continues to elevate Encore’s impact in the Eastern Region. His innovative and collaborative approach ensures exceptional value for clients and partners, solidifying Encore’s reputation as a leader in the events industry.
Mark Bullen
As Vice President of Information Services at Encore Canada, Mark Bullen spearheads innovation and service strategies across the enterprise. His extensive experience in system integration and deep understanding of the audiovisual business model provide a solid foundation for Encore Canada's growth. Mark emphasizes truly hearing clients' needs and expectations to deliver exceptional service and unmatched value.
Beyond his role at Encore, Mark is also a member of the PGA of Canada, reflecting his dedication to excellence both professionally and personally.
