Intergovernmental Conference: Enabling Clear Communication for 2 500 Global Delegates

Provide event services for an international committee meeting, a monumental event where delegates participate in negotiations towards a global agreement.

Over this week-long event, Encore delivered large-scale, specialized event technology solutions to support these large meetings with up to 2 500 international delegates. In the plenary, over 280 Televic push-to-talk microphones (with name handling and dual-seating) were paired with the Televic Confero Cam camera tracking system, allowing for near-instant camera positioning on the active speaker to display on the live camera feed. Additionally, 6 interpretation booths were stationed to support the 6 official languages used, with 2200 SI receivers provided to allow delegates crucial access to the information in their preferred language. Given the event’s focus on developing global environmental policy, Encore designed the event using sustainable event solutions, including suggesting a panoramic screen in lieu of a printed, single-use backdrop.
