Head Office – Ontario

Land Acknowledgement

Encore’s Canadian Head Office is located on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. Tkaronto is built on sacred land that is part of an agreement between Indigenous peoples and then extended to us, allied nations to peacefully and respectfully care for it.

We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit and the Williams Treaty signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.

Coast to Coast

Land Acknowledgment Canada

We acknowledge the importance of all the lands across Canada, which we each call home. We do this to reaffirm our commitment and responsibility to improving relationships between nations and to improving our own understanding of local Indigenous peoples and their cultures.

From coast to coast to coast, we acknowledge the ancestral and unceded territory of all the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples that call this land home. We also acknowledge that Encore Canada has many offices and venue partners throughout Canada, individually they have their own unique land history and First Nations partnerships.
