Tragedy at the Metropolis of Montreal: AVW-TELAV sends its condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the victim

Hundreds of people gathered in downtown Montreal last night at the scene of the deadly election night shooting to remember the victim and call for unity.

Friends and colleagues of 48-year-old lighting technician Denis Blanchette, killed when he was hit by a bullet outside the Metropolis during the victory speech of Parti Québécois Leader Pauline Marois, stood hand-in-hand with Montrealers for a moment of silence.
